About Crest

CREST is designed to equip future and current employees with the tools to advance in today’s ever-changing industrial markets, benefitting the employees and the industries in northeast Arkansas participating in the program.

CREST will unite workforce training in the region and specialize in AI-enhanced advanced manufacturing, food processing, and steel production. CREST will offer “stackable” credentials in a flexible format Serving the Current and Future Workforce.

About the program

The Industrial Controls Program equips one with key skills to monitor and maintain automated manufacturing systems. Focusing on industrial controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and troubleshooting, the program provides hands-on training with industry-standard equipment.

Eight-Week Courses

Our eight-week format reduces the typical 16-week semester into two sessions. This format allows students to focus on one course at time and take courses in sequence, promoting success.

Hybrid Classes

In-person learning + online flexibility - Meet on campus to perform lab exercises and complete the rest of the work online.

2+2 Transfer Program

The transfer program makes the transition from ASUN to A-State simple. The goal is to give one a clear path to complete a four-year degree at A-State. We work closely on degree requirements and transfer of credits so one can focus less on red tape and more on achieving academic goals.
